Matthew Ward

WARD Matthew August 11, 1932 – February 13, 2020 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew Ward, age 87, after a brief illness on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Health Sciences Centre. Predeceased by his parents, William Ward and Susan Ward (nee O’Leary); brothers, Patrick (Kathleen), Edward and Vincent; sisters, Madeline and Mary; nephew, Eugene Ward and niece, Beverly Power. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife and best friend of 49 years, Mildred (nee Molloy) and his special sister-in-law, Evelyn Pennell who was by his bedside over the past seven days. He is also lovingly remembered by brothers-in-law, James Molloy (Loretta), Peter Molloy (Pauline) and Bernard Pennell; nieces and nephews of the Ward and Molloy families and devoted nephews, Andrew Pennell and Robert Molloy. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will follow at a later date. Donations in Matthew’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
