Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer in the presence of his loving family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Michael Francis Pittman of St. John’s, age 63 years. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Marie Pittman, brothers Patrick and Gerry Pittman, mother-in-law Francis Barry. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife and best friend Marie; his children Wayne, Tammy (Jimmy), Tanya, Melissa (Darryl) Hamilton and Michael Pittman; his eleven adored grandchildren: Emilee, Tamara, Jillian, Ryan, Wayne, Justin, Devon, Maddie, Abbie, Allie, and Gavin; special daughter-in-law Mary Anne; siblings Mary (John) Antle, Patsy (Bill) Noonan, Donna (George) Corbett, Dianne Pittman, Sheila MacLeod and special brother and friend Kevin Pittman. Also, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His loyal canine companion Tia. A special thank you to Dr. Armstrong and to the staff of 4 West at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 Lemarchant Road on Friday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from Caul’s Chapel with a time to be announced.
