RYAN Michael Francis Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre, surrounded by his loving family, Michael Francis Ryan, of Kilbride, aged 89 years. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary; in-laws William and Mary Antle; siblings and in-laws: Margaret Hagerty (Mike), Bob (Livie), Joe, Gerry, Jim (Mary), Catherine Clarke, Lena Chafe (Percy), Maureen Henseleit, Betty Coffin (Nathan), Ern and Gerald Antle and John Walsh; and life-long family friend Olga Dooley. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 64 years Dorothy; his devoted children: Anne Marie Bartlett (John), Noel (Lorna), Maureen Murphy (Bill), Geoff and Carolyn Connolly (Gary); eleven cherished grandchildren: Jill Sheppard (Craig), Ryan Ennis (Deanna), Russell Ryan, Carson Ryan (Regan), Leanne Murphy (Peter), Danielle Murphy (Stuart), Jordan Connolly (Kara), Devan Connolly (Emily), Elizabeth Ryan (Joseph), Solomon Ryan and Todd Ryan; nine great-grandchildren, the lights of his life: Sadie, Joel and Cameron Sheppard, Grayson Ennis, Amelia and Alex Ryan, James Ryan, Emmeline and Miya Monteith; Sisters Mary Walsh and Sister Callista RSM; brother, Tom (Betty); in-laws: Agnes Brien, Ron Antle, Helen Antle, Margaret Antle, Bernd Henseleit, Shirley Ryan and Patricia Ryan; lifelong friend Leonard Dooley; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Over the years Michael worked in many capacities with E. F. Barnes, Steers, Bonavista Cold Storage (Fermeuse) and Memorial University. He loved time with family and friends. Michael loved music, his guitar group and was a member of The Anchorman Chorus. A special thank you to the staff of Chancellor Park 2 west and Health Science Centre 5 south B. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Saturday and Sunday December 14 and 15, from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church on Monday, December 16, at 9:30 am. Internment to follow at Kilbride Cemetery. Flowers greatly accepted or donations in his memory to St. Vincent De Paul, Corpus Christi Parish. “You will always be close within our hearts and there you will remain, To walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again.” Rest in Peace dad.
