Passed peacefully away December 16, 2018, at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s Newfoundland in her 89th year in the arms of her loving daughter Brenda. She left to join her late husband Bill, her son, Roland, her parents, and her seven brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed, with fond and warm memories, by her children: Gail Delaney (Tom MacRae), Brenda (Keith) Mullett, John (Paula) Delaney, Linda (Ken) Howlett, Yvonne (Harry) Hodder, Brian (Sharon) Delaney, Donna (Dale, deceased) Linthorne, and the late Roland (Deborah) Delaney. Loving “Purple Nanny” to 21 grandchildren: Gail’s children: Kyla (Steve) Kryski; James Kryski; Brenda’s children: Melissa (Danny) Noble and Jason (Kayla) Mullett; John’s children Nadine (Jonathan) Reid; Leslie (BJ) Delaney; Bill (Amanda) Delaney; Linda’s children: Johnathan (Brittany) Howlett; Jessica Howlett; Amanda Howlett; Yvonne’s children: Michael (Megan) Morgan; Bradley (Ashley) Morgan; Cody Morgan; Brian’s children: Justin (Katie) Seaward; Jeremy (Debbie) Seaward; Mary Beth Delaney; Donna’s children: Andrea (Darryl) Mugford; Stephanie (Hector) Linthorne; Samantha (Justin) Linthorne; Roland’s children: Rachel Delaney; Megan Delaney. Also, great-grandnan to 24 great-grandchildren: Hailey; Malcolm, Brendan, William and Lilly; Dustin, Nathan, Liam, Avery, Ruby and Layla; Aliyah, Jayden, Griffyn and Kayleb; Ridere; Carrie, Millie and Cali; Kinsley; Owen, Callum, Donavan and Elsie. Proudly involved with Mary Queen of the World CWL for most of her adult life, NL Crafters Guild and the Mount Pearl Seniors Resource Centre. Millie spent the past 7 years at a place she loved: Karwood Retirement Retreat, Paradise, where she enjoyed her word searches, favourite TV shows, and meeting new residents. Her door was always open to her many visitors, friends and family, who were always greeted with a hug and a smile. Her greatest source of pride was her loving family, who will forever hold her memory close – gone but not forgotten. Special thank you to the caring and attentive staff of Karwood Retirement Retreat who held a special place in Mom’s heart and who made her Retreat her home. Friends and relatives are invited for a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl, NL. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Mary Queen of the World Parish, Topsail Road, St. John’s; cremation to follow with Interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Bay Roberts, on Friday December 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. If desired, flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations can be made to The Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation.
