HANN Marjorie Elaine (nee Chafe) February 9, 1925 – April 6, 2021 Passed peacefully away at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home on April 6, 2021 at the age of 96 with family by her side. Predeceased by parents Rupert and Ethel Chafe; husband Robert; two very special grandsons Kristopher and Andrew; sister Anne; brother Don; sisters-in-law Elsie Jarvis and Jean Hall; brothers-in-law Dennis Pendergast, Alick and Harold Hann, Ches Thistle, and John Kenndey. Leaving to mourn children Elaine (Wally), Terry, Karen (Robert), Tony (Charlene); grandchildren Andrea (Dave), Victoria, Robert (Bridgette), Nicole, Joshua (Kaitlyn), Rebecca (Dakota); eight great-grandchildren; brother Art Chafe (Mary); sister Shirley Pendergast; sisters-in-law Jean Chafe, Pearleen Kennedy, Tess Thistle, and Joan Hann; brothers-in-law Freeman Jarvis, Bill Hann (Alice), Fred Hall (Rose); as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Marjorie was a very warm-hearted woman who enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, baker and special family member to many. In her early years she worked at St. Lukes, Avalon Telephone and The London. She enjoyed taking care of others including guests at her Bed and Breakfast in their home in Little Harbour East that she ran with her husband Bob. She dedicated her life to her family, direct and distant and would always make room to lay your head and fix you a plate to eat. She was kind, loving, dedicated and witty. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at Agnes Pratt Home for their attentive care and support. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 11am-9pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 9th at 11am. Due to limited capacity the service will be by invitation only. The service will be lived streamed for those wishing to attend virtually. Inurnment will take place in Little Harbour East on Saturday, April 10th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Little Harbour East.
