Patrick John Donovan

Passed peacefully away on July, 18th, 2018, Patrick Donovan. Leaving to mourn his wife Kay (Power); his son Patrick (Sondria); his daughters Lynn Trainor (Wayne) and Renée Donovan-Gray (Rob); three grandchildren Matthew Gray, Ally Gray and Eilish Browne; brother Barry (Joyce); sister Frances Wells; special niece Christine Powell (Donny) and close personal friend Shaun Dobbin. Paddy was an avid golfer and bowler and was especially proud of his “Hole in One” on the 13th hole at The Wilds. He loved his family and his greatest joy was when they all came home, there was a big dinner underway with lots of wine, music and laughter. The family at this time would like to thank his Health Care Team for their care and compassion over the past five years. Dr. Randy Hart, Dr. Jamie Farrell, Dr. Patrick O’Shea and Nurse Erin Nugent. He spent his last six days in the Palliative Care Unit of the Miller Centre and the staff there were so caring to Paddy and the family and it eased us as much as it was possible to do so. Paddy will be resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday, July 20th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from St. Teresa’s Church on Saturday, July 21 at 9:30 a.m. No flowers by request, for those wishing to do so, donations in his memory would be appreciated to the Gathering Place, or VOWR. “I have been very blessed by my family and friends.”
