Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Feb. 2nd, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. Pre-deceased by her husband, Calvin, parents William and Angela Hickey (nee Brazil); parents-in-law Walter and Emily Whalen (nee Wheadon); brother-in-law, Walter (Jr.); and nephew, Darren Mercer. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories brother Bill (Carolyn Milley) Hickey, sister Brenda (John) Stamp, step-son Brien (Sarah Kennedy) Whalen, step-grandsons Liam Kennedy and Conor Kennedy; brothers-in-law: David (Priscilla), Glenn (Colleen), and Barry (Heather); sisters-in-law: Linda (Wayne) Mercer, Cynthia (Brian) Philpott, Jeanette (Joseph) Hickey and Peggy Whalen; aunts: Sadie Kirby, and Nan Wheadon; nephews Joel (Karen Careen) Hickey, Allan Hickey, Shannon (Hanan) Stamp and Aaron Stamp; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Also treasuring many happy memories: great-nieces Alana Careen, Charlotte Hickey and great-nephew Nathan Hickey. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the staff at 4 South A (HSC) and Chancellor Park for the compassionate care of Paulette during her final days. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home Le Marchant Road. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 5th from 7- 9pm and Wednesday, February 6th from 10:00am. – 12:00pm, 2pm -4pm and 7pm - 9pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, February 7th at 9:30am from St. Paul’s Church, Newfoundland Drive. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Paulette’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
