Richard (Dick) Whelan

Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Saturday, September 15, 2018 Richard (Dick) Whelan of Holyrood. Predeceased by his parents: Joseph and Agnes Whelan, brother Joseph, sister Joan Nolan and husband Leo, and sister-in-law Mary Berry. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife Jeanette of 40 years, special sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joyce and Gerard Kieley and family, sister-in-law Shirley Whelan and family and brother-in-law Ron Berry and family, and a large circle of family and friends especially his four legged canine friends. At his request, Cremation has taken place. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 20th, 2018 at 10:30 am from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood with Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Holy Cross Church Music Fund or to a charity of one's choice.
