Robert Wesley Downer

Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Friday, October 19, 2018, Robert Downer, age 73 years. Predeceased by parents, Wesley and Janet Downer; and sister, Diane Driscoll. Leaving to mourn his wife of 53 years, Heather (nee Ross); daughter, Lyn Terris (Bruce) and son, Rob (Lesley); grandchildren: Ethan & Maggie Terris and Ruby Downer; his siblings: Don (Donna), Janet Butler (John), John, Ruby Legge (John), and Roger (Pauline); as well many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Special thank you to the staff and caregivers of Chancellor Park for their care and compassion. Visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Sunday, October 21, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 2:00pm. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations in Robert’s memory may be made to the Vera Perlin Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
