HANNON Roy It is with great sadness the Hannon family announce the passing of Roy Hannon. He was born in Bishops Falls, Newfoundland, February 19, 1942, and passed away May 15, 2020 in Ottawa, Ontario after a three-week battle with Covid-19. Roy was retired after a long career as well-respected architectural draftsman, who had worked on the design for many prestigious buildings throughout Newfoundland. He had moved to Ottawa in 2019 to be closer to his son Stephen. He loved to play pool, was a talented artist, who could always tell a great joke, had a positive attitude and a contagious smile. Roy was the son of the late John and Marion Hannon. Predeceased by his brother Harold in 2015 and twin brother Gerry in 2009. Leaving to mourn, his son Stephen (Wendy) Hannon, his sister Marjorie (Francis) Hannon Barter, his sisters in laws Marjorie Hannon and Carolyn Hannon, niece Jolette (Lyle) Hannon MacAulay and nephews Rodney (Melissa) Hannon, Keith (Angela) Hannon and Barry (Jen) Hannon; as well as extended family and friends. Due to the Covid-19 health restrictions the family will have A Celebration of Life at a later date.
