MERCER Ruby Florence (nee Richards) Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in the presence of her loving family, Ruby Florence Mercer, aged 95 years. Predeceased by her first husband Donald King (1946), second husband William L. Mercer (1978), son Paul Mercer (1963) and grandson Donnie King (2011). Leaving to mourn her loving children: Jean Squires (Cyril deceased), Donald King (Joyce), Shirley Fitzpatrick (Kevin), Glenda Mercer, William Mercer (Cathy), Randy Mercer (Marilyn), Debbie Mercer and Linda Mercer. Also leaving to mourn her 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation from 7-9 p.m. Friday September 13th and from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, September 14th. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, September 15th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Topsail United Church. In honour of Ruby’s love of hats, we ask all ladies to wear either a hat or a fascinator. Interment to follow in Topsail United Church Cemetery.
