RUTH ANN JANES (NEE BARNES)

JANES, Ruth Ann (nee Barnes) – April 20, 1950 – April 24, 2019 Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, Ruth Ann Janes (nee Barnes). Predeceased by her father Aquilla Barnes (2005). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband William “Bill” Janes; children: William “Blair” Janes (Trudy), Trina MacKey (Corry) and Troy Janes; 6 precious grandchildren: Jonathan, Elizabeth, Olivia, Laura, Aaron and Cameron; her mother Mary Barnes; sister Florence Murphy (Randy); brothers: John Barnes (Beryl), Aquilla Barnes (Jack); also nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses from the Miller Centre and the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre. Visitation to be held from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Thursday from 7-9pm and then on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held from The Parish of the Ascension, Smallwood Drive, Mount Pearl on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in her memory may be made to The Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre.
