Sadie Comerford

COMERFORD Sadie (nee Ryan) Passed peacefully away on October 21, 2019 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family, Sadie Comerford, age 86 years, was born July 4, 1933. Predeceased by her husband, Fergus; 2 infant sons, Fergie and Paul; 2 daughters-in-law, Augusta and Jean and many other members of the Ryan and Comerford families. Leaving to mourn, her children, Brian (Andrea), Ernie (Sandra) with whom she resided, Mary (Steve China), Cathy (Wayne) Crane, Donna Stavila, Glenn (friend Audrey), and Sarah (Larry) Dunlop; sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Also, her brothers, Cyril (Eva) Ryan, John (Lucy) Ryan, Walter (Cathy) Ryan and Jerome (Charlotte) Ryan; her sister, Agnes Melvin, her sister-in-law, Laura Bonia and numerous nephews and nieces. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of St. Clare’s 6th floor for their excellent care and for helping to ease Mom in her transition from this life. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday from 7-9pm and Thursday from 10am-3pm and 6-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30am on Friday, October 25, 2019 from St. Teresa’s Church with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Sadie’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
