Special thanks to the wonderful staff of St Patrick’s Mercy Home and Hillcrest Estates. The kindness, respect and love you have given mom has been wonderful and we are forever grateful. Mom had lots of love for all who entered her life. She accepted friends and family into her home with open arms. Anyone who needed a place to stay when coming to town were given a place with Sadie. She was a gracious hostess and made sure everyone was treated to her home cooked meals, delicious baked goods and a comfortable bed. She loved a good game of scrabble or cards and the laughter and fun that went with it. In spite of the many hardships she has endured you would never meet a more patient and caring woman than Mom. While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness. Even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love and perseverance and the ways she touched our lives will remain. Mom kept her faith through all of her sickness and Deacon Gerry would visit often for communion, prayers and of course a cup of tea and sweets. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home,328 Hamilton Avenue on July 14, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 PM. COVID 19 - level 2 restrictions apply.
