Sister Mary Helena Murphy

Passed peacefully away at Presentation Convent, Cathedral Square, St. John’s, on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, aged 106 years. Predeceased by her parents Timothy and Mary (Keough) of Plate Cove; her brother, Andrew (Kathleen); her sisters, Elizabeth pbvm; and Agnes (Cornelius Lane). Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life are the Presentation Sisters and her loving and devoted nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Sister Mary Helena is resting at Presentation Motherhouse, Cathedral Square, St. John’s. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 9, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, August 10, 10:00 – 12:00, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Saturday, August 11 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Presentation Cemetery, Cathedral Square.
