STEVENSON Stephen Ronald (Ron) Dec. 11, 1929 – Nov. 30. 2019 Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on November 30, 2019 our dear and loving dad at the wonderful age of 89. Predeceased by loving wife Carmel (1985); daughter Sharon Frances (1956); brothers Arthur and Bill, sister Joan and many members of the Stevenson and Martin families. Leaving with broken hearts and a lifetime of beautiful memories are his children, Ronald (Bonita Coole), Karen (Al Ballard), Annette (Steven Benson), John (Beverley Crosbie) and grandchildren James Stevenson, Christopher Ballard (Ashley Burton), Michael and Samuel Benson, and Hannah Stevenson, and sister Betty Mercer. Also members of the Martin Family who have been long time friends and provided much support to Ron and our family over the years. Ron is also predeceased by long time partner Patricia Horwood (2019). Leaving to mourn members of the Horwood family, Gary (Ruthanne), Barb (Brian), Janice (Larry), Terry (Pam), and Paul (Patsy), and nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Special thank you to Dr. Patrick O’Shea and the staff of 11 Elizabeth Family practice; Dr. Singleton and the staff at Cambridge Estates who provided such special care to our dad for the last 1 ½ years and to the doctors, nurses and Stroke Team of 4 South B at the Health Science Center for their special care and support to us over the last month. Ron also leaves to mourn a wide array of friends made over many years working in the Marine Industry; as a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus; and as an avid golfer. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday, December 6 from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 9 PM. Funeral mass will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road at 9:30AM. Interment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. Donations will be grateful accepted in Ron’s memory to the Armstrong Dinner Fund, Knights of Columbus, Terra Nova Council 1452.
