POWER Theresa (Jimmy) (nee Penny) aka The Christmas Card Lady Passed away surrounded by her loving family at The Palliative Care Unit on Monday, July 15, 2019, Theresa Power of St. Joseph’s, aged 92 years. Predeceased by her husband James, daughter Helena, son in-law Joe, parents William & Mary Penny, her many brothers & sisters. Left with fond & loving memories are her children: Mae (Phil), Henry (Donna), Brian (Judy) & Cathy Ann (Mario), grandchildren: David (Lani), Kevin (Lorraine), George (Marsha), Joey (Jackie), Alice (Darrell), Colin (Andrea), Tara (Richard), Mitchell (Katie), Justin, & Jeffrey (Faith), 18 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild, sister Rita Conway, sister in-law Shirley Penny, many nieces, nephews & a circle of relatives & friends especially her guardian angel & care giver Sharon Comerford & special neighbours Pat Hanlon & Gerry Ryan. Visitation will take place at Father Enright Memorial Chapel, St. Joseph’s on Wednesday, from 7 - 9 pm & Thursday from 1 - 4 pm & 7 - 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 am on Friday, July 19, 2019 from St. Joseph’s Church. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery, O’Donnell’s. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Donations in her memory may be made to the Candle Lighters Association of Newfoundland & Labrador.
