Theresa Rodgers (nee Dillon)

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Rodgers family announce the passing of their beloved “Mama” Theresa, who entered eternal rest with God on Friday, April 5th, 2019 at Pleasant View Towers, aged 86 years. Predeceased by her husband Charles (Charlie), parents Jim and Mary Dillon (Davis), daughter Shirley Anne Rodgers, sister Dorothy Forgays (George – deceased), brothers, Jim and Vincent Dillon, sisters-in-law, Daphne Dillon, Pauline Dillon, Lucy Hindy and Edith Wickham. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Charlie (Diane), Rosalind (Bernard) White, Sandra (Donald) Butler, Lorraine (Percy) Slade, Daphne (Robert) Fillier; her 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren all of whom she loved very much; sister Geraldine (Jim) Presley; brother Gerald (Katherine) Dillon; sister-in-law Laura Dillon; her special furry friend, Nikki; also a large number of nieces, nephews and friends, especially Sharon Porter who was her respite worker. Special thank you to the residents and staff of Pleasant View Towers, especially Barbara Ann Mackey (Manager of 3 South East), Claress Patience and Kelly for their care and support during our “Mamas” short stay there. “Mama Theresa” will be resting peacefully at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8th, 2019 from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
