CORRIGAN Thomas December 5, 1938 - October 13, 2019 It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas (Albert) Corrigan of Trepassey, age 80 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in the presence of his loving family. Reunited with his family gone before him, parents Joseph & Anne Corrigan, brother John & sister Mary, parents-in-law Celestine & Gertrude Hynes, brothers-in-law Derm, John, Raymond, Ignatious, Roger & Ronald. Leaving to mourn his loving & devoted wife of 60 years Sarah; sons John (Gillian), Ronald (Germaine), Tommy (Kelly). Daughters, Joan (Leo Ryan), Sharon (Denis Power), Mary (Richard Wolfsgruber), Viola (Phonse Coombs), Tina, Patricia (Dwayne Davis), Jennifer. His grandchildren whom he adored, Lee, Cody, Chasity, Julie, Leah, Samantha, Courtney, Rachel, Ashley, Syndie, Denis, Sarah, Joseph, Nathan, Kyle, Chad, Luke & Eric. Great grandchildren, Lauren, Ellie & Harper Lee. Sisters Helen & Dorothy, Presentation, Theresa & Bernice. Brothers Bill (Edwina) & Don (Bride). Sisters-in-law, Madeline (Howard), Viola (Phonse), Genevieve (Tom). Also leaving a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Dad was an avid outdoorsman and lover of nature. If he could not be found at his beloved Powell’s Head, where he was lightkeeper for 47 years, he could be found fishing, duck hunting or on the barrens with his retriever at his heels. The family would like to thank Dr. T. McGarry for his many years of care, Dr.’s Morkar & O’Brien as well as the nursing staff of 4 West, St. Clare’s for their compassionate care, his home care workers Edna O’Brien, Wanda Halleran and Oh Young Luther. Visitation at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Trepassey on Tuesday, October 15th from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Redeemer Parish Church on Wednesday, October 16th at 1 pm. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to Holy Redeemer Parish.
