Now in Heaven, having passed peacefully away while surrounded by his loving family, at the Health Science Centre, on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, Thomas Francis Kielly, of St. John’s, formerly of Gaskiers, St. Mary’s Bay, in his 84th year. Predeceased by wife Gloria (nee Ricks). Forever loved by his children: John (Candice), Ken (Georgia), Joanna (Jerry) and Loretta (Greg). Dad will also be deeply missed by his extensive circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends, including Carolann & Roger Gibbons and family who graciously held a very special bond with Dad throughout his life. Dad was a gentle soul, always smiling and giving with a thirst for the outdoors and ocean having a special place in his heart for St. Mary’s Bay. A heartfelt thank-you to the medical staff of 2 South at the Miller Center. Dad will be resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Friday, June 22, from 5 – 9pm and at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, on Saturday June 23 and Sunday June 24, from 2 - 4pm; 7 – 9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday June 25, at 10am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary’s. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, NL Heart and Stroke Foundation or any charity of one’s choice.
