Thomas Whelan

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, May 6th, 2018, Thomas Whelan of Marysvale - Age 80 years. Predeceased by his parents: Lawrence and Bridget ; step-father Thomas McDonald; brothers: Sam, Bill (Geraldine), and Pat (Mary); sisters: Anna (Michael Murray), and Stella (Charles Gushue); sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Lawrence Power), and Mary Moriarity; nephews: Bill Whelan, Ted Whelan, William Power, and Patrick Power; and niece Rose Mary Duffenair. Leaving to mourn his wife Alice; sons: Chris (Colleen), and Edward (Ceilidh); daughter Patricia (John Kent); granddaughters: Jacinta (Aaron Stacey), and Jenna; grandsons: Aaron, and Connor; brothers: Ambrose (Mary), Leonard (Elizabeth), and Lawrence (Bernice); sister Eleanor (Hubert Furey); and special niece Carolyn Power (Donald Mahoney). Also, nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Wednesday, May 9th, from 2pm-9pm, and Thursday, May 10th, from 2pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Our Lady Of The Snows Church, Marysvale, on Friday, May 11th, 2018, at 11:00am, with cremation to follow.
