Tony Woodmen — PLACENTIA

WOODMAN Tony Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Heath Centre on Monday, June 10, 2019, surrounded by his loving family, Tony Woodman of Dunville, at the age of 62. Predeceased by his father Christopher Woodman, in-laws Jim and Rose Browne, sister-in-law Madonna Browne, and brother-in-law Jim Browne. Leaving to mourn his wife and best friend of 34 years, Sharon; to his pride and joy, his children, daughter Vanessa (Jeremy Babstock) and son Neilson; mother Shirley; siblings Dallas (Gerry), Paula (Gerry), Carol (Jim), Chris (Rose), Madonna (Doug), Kim (Mike), and Alexis (John); in-laws Wayne (Jenny), Douglas (Linda), Stella (Gerald), Daphne (Ed), and Rosemary (Doug); many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends; his Harold's Hotel rowing crew - Tyra, MacKenzie, Lauren, Grace, Hillary and Brooklyn; his co-workers at Transportation and Works and CNA, Placentia; and his four-legged pets Ace and Koko. Special thanks to Dr. Power and the staff at the Placentia Health Centre for all of their care, work, time and patience. Tony was quiet but very active in running and rowing. He thoroughly enjoyed the regatta, and rowing was his passion. He also was a great mentor for youth which showed in his dedication to his community as a basketball coach and a cadet officer. This gave him extra precious time with his kids, whom he adored and cherished. He also enjoyed carpentry work and his skills were sought-after. He was a friend to many, well-liked and well-respected. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place on Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm, and Thursday from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral Service to take place 10:30am on Friday, June 14th at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
