Wally was a well-respected gentleman who was known for being thoughtful, considerate and polite. His final gift to his family were these heartfelt written words: “I loved my family sincerely, and was always grateful for the love, care and respect that you always showed, and gave me, without it, my life would have been much more challenging and shorter”. He lived with dignity and showed unending respect for those providing his care. A special thank you is extended to the many healthcare professionals who cared for Wally, especially Dr. Barry Rose, Dr. William Grant, Dr. Sean Connors, Dr. Doug Drover, nurse practitioners Rody Pike and Angela Andrews, and to the staff of 5SB at the Health Sciences Centre for their wonderful care and compassion.
