Walter Stephen Edmunds

It is with inexpressible sadness that the family of Walter Stephen Edmunds announce his passing at the age of 66 after a short but hard-fought battle with brain cancer. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gina and their six children: Travis (Denise), Jayde (Tony), Amber, Tahnee (Brent), Ebonee and Koral (Alex). Walter also leaves behind to mourn his eight adored grandchildren: Mireya, Aria, Nixon, Keira, Isla, Naiya, Elizabeth and Emily; ten siblings: Reginald (Marie), Rose (Gerald), Bernice (Larry), Edward (Mary), Lionel (Catherine), Gerald (Josie), Angeline (Wayne), Richard (Louise), Ronald (Pamela), Terry (Tucker, dec.); the entire Edmunds and Power families; and many close friends. Walter is predeceased by his parents Richard and Irene, his sister Helena (Kevin), niece Mary Clare, nephew Michael and parents-in-law William and Patricia Power. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 12-9 pm and Monday, September 24, 2018 from 10-9 pm. Funeral service to take place at St. Patrick’s Parish on Tuesday, September 25 at 11 am. Walter was first and foremost a family man, who put his wife and kids above all else. He loved boxing, being in the woods, playing darts, music and dancing, and eating ice cream. He took pride in his 33 years of sobriety, and helped many others travel the same path. All his life, he was tough and fearless, and remained so until the very end. ”I love you twenty million skies.” Flowers gratefully accepted.
