Wilfred Stephen Miller

Another angel has received his wings. Wilfred Stephen Miller, 87 years old from Portugal Cove passed away peacefully in the presence of his loved ones, February 14, 2018. Predeceased by his parents Stephen and Lilly May Miller; two brothers, David and Georgie; six sisters, Phoebe, Florence, Laura, Evelyn, Margaret and Mary. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 63 years Wilhelmina (nee Somerton); two daughters, Wanda Allen and Maxine Miller. Three granddaughters, Tanya (Billy) Manning, Loni (Morgan MacDonald) Allen, Nancy (Darren) White. Two special great-grandchildren, Emily and Kyle Manning; two sisters-in-law, Stella Miller and Violet Hussey. Many special nieces and great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews, cousins and many very special friends. His family would like to thank Dr. Patrick O'Shea and his community health nurse April Adams and Revd. Amanda for all of their care given to him and support towards the family. We would also like to thank family and friends who visited and prepared meals and snacks for the family. Wilfred will be resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday February 16 and Saturday February 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday February 18 from 11-12:30 p.m. Funeral services will take place on February 18 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove.
