William Douglas Murphy

MURPHY William Douglas June 16, 1944 - September 13, 2019 Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre. Predeceased by his loving parents; Bernard and Laura, his sister Margaret and his brothers; Kevin and Bernard. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Kay Murphy of 52 years; three daughters; Kimberly (Keith Sheppard whom he loved more as a son then a son in law; Paula, Janice and his cherished Grandson Jaxon. Brothers and Sisters; Shirley (Gordon Stoyles deceased), Leo (Beverly), Gordon (Marilyn), Gerald (Joslyn), Laura (Wayne Parsons), Joan (Les Howey), Pamela, Sheila (Robert Sweeney), Sisters in law; Diane and Cynthia. Also numerous nieces, nephews, brothers in law, sisters in law and many special friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. A special thanks to the amazing Staff at the Health Science Centre and the Dialysis Unit (Sobey’s Square). Cremation has taken place. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home on Bell Island. Visitation on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 4-9pm. Funeral Services will take place at St. Michael’s Parish, Bell Island on Thursday, September 19th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada in his memory.
