William Joseph Evans

EVANS William Joseph April 7, 1958 – Sept. 14, 2020 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a loving husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. William Joseph Evans, age 62 years. Predeceased by his father Ronald Evans; two brothers Ronny Evans and Paul Evans. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 30 years Gail Evans (Stevenson) and their daughter and only child Lysa Marie who was her dad's pride and joy; his princess and her fiancé Philippe Schryburt. His precious mother Mary Evans; his sisters Mary Lou Loder (Bob), Joanne Predham (Todd); sisters-in-law Cindy Evans, Debbie Hudson (Elery), Patsy Sellars, Judy Miller, Helen Codner (Wayne) and Sandra Baker; his longtime buddies Lloyd Pottle, Ronnie Ryan and Chris Delahunty. As well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. A special thank you to Local 597 and his co-workers on the picket line at Dominion Lake Side who did everything they could to help Bill. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful doctors, nurses and ambulance drivers of the Health Science Centre for their care and compassion. Due to COVID-19 there will be a short visitation from Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, September 18, 2020 from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist at 1 p.m. with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
