SUMMERS Winston Frederick It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Winston Frederick Summers on Monday, May 25, 2020 at the age of 78. Winston passed away peacefully at the Leonard A. Miller Centre in Palliative Care surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Margaret Summers, and his sisters Lucy (David) and Lorraine (Don). Leaving to mourn his beloved wife and best friend of 60 years Joan (nee Mercer); his two children Reg (Sharon) and Jeanette (David); two grandchildren Samantha (Samuel) and Kelsey; and darling great-granddaughter Scarlett Rose. Also left with fond memories is a large circle of family and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Roger Butler and his staff, especially Jennifer Williams, the Palliative Care Unit, Greg Healey, James Drover and the staff at Rosemore who were so kind in his final days. Due to the current public health concerns of Covid-19, a private family service will take place. A memorial service and interment will be announced at a later date.
