Yvonne Isabelle Curnew (nee French)

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, Yvonne Isabelle Curnew, in her 89th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Ernest Curnew, and son-in-law, whom she shared a special bond, Gary Benmore. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, her devoted daughter Bonnie (Gerard Walsh); three very special granddaughters: Allison (Christopher Skinner), Haley, and Kristyn; great-grandson Ryan, and sister-in-law Elsie French. Also leaving to mourn her son Derek (Rose) and daughter Glenna (Donald Penney). A very special thank you to Dr. Robert Woodland for his many years of care to mom. As well to the staff of 3 North at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their exceptional care. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday November 16 from 4-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday November 17 at 11 a.m. Interment to take place at a later date. Mom had a passionate love for animals, therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations to an animal charity of one’s choice would be graciously accepted.
