People need to concentrate more on what’s going on inside HMP as opposed to how it looks to people on the outside.
If people are complaining about how it looks on the edge of the Quidi Vidi Lake, then they should take a walk through and see what it looks like on the inside.
It’s a lot easier for people to forget how inmates and workers are being treated inside those walls, if they can no longer see them from their daily stroll around the lake. Compare their complaints about “the eyesore” that is HMP, to the complaints of those that are inside those bars.
The building can be moved, it can be updated, it can be bull dozed and replaced, but unless things change on the inside then there will still be constant suffering. Let’s concentrate on that change first.
