I am constantly thinking about what happened between George Floyd and the policeman. (Floyd was killed in Minneapolis when an officer held a knee to his neck for nearly nine minutes in May. Derek Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder, and three other former officers are charged with aiding Chauvin.)

It is unbelievable that the police could do this to another human being.

It is not right to treat another person in the way the officer handled George by putting his force with his knee on his neck.

Just imagine what George Floyd must have gone through.

How could the other police officers stand by and watch him without trying to stop him?

It is the same as (how) Innu and Inuit people (are) treated by policemen.

This has been ongoing for many years now.

Every human being, no matter what race, should be treated equally.

There are so many people who are angered by the way the policeman killed George Floyd.

This is all about racism; they treat people with different coloured skin differently.

I feel that we should do something to make ourselves visible, to show our support.

This is for everyone, all native people, Black people as well.
