Hello there, greetings from Birmingham, U.K. I am sure I am not the only passenger who is voicing his or her displeasure at the decision made by WestJet to end direct flights from London to St. John’s.

I have been visiting Newfoundland every year since 2007 and to say I’m angry is an understatement. What idiot made this decision? I spoke to a “number-crunching no mark” yesterday who could not answer any of my questions. This action by WestJet could prove to be their undoing.

Also, what I would like to know is this: why is the Dublin to St. John’s flight been allowed to continue?

One polite word sums up this mess: farcical!

Yours faithfully.
