Re: The controversy over Bill 21, Quebec's so-called secularism law banning public servants in positions of authority from wearing religious symbols.

Apparently, some Quebecers are leery of women wearing headscarves. I spent the first 22 years of my life in Quebec, and in all my time in school and in nursing school, I never had a teacher who did not wear some sort of veil. They were nuns! And the priests wore robes! What about people who wear wigs?

I agree that women wearing the full-face covering should not be serving the public, but take a breath and consider the stupidity of banning the simple headscarf! I personally am more upset at men wearing their ever-present baseball caps backwards.
