During these crazy times, and amid often harsh criticism of our health-care system here in this province, for my family’s most recent experience of the end of life care for my husband, I can only express my deepest gratitude to all those we encountered at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
It was barely three days but the compassion and warmth from our initial contacts with the security guards, staff in emergency, on through to all those on 5 East lacked absolutely nothing. For that, the Ploughman family will be eternally grateful.
