To those who called for (and succeeded in bringing about) the suspension of the Liberal leadership race due to the myriad of issues surrounding COVID-19, I ask the following question: what is preferable in this unprecedented and dangerous time — a lame duck premier who no longer wants the job, the possibility of a covert, non-confidence motion putting the uninspiring PC's in power or a modern attempt (online voting) to choose a qualified leader who is actively competing and obviously interested in the heavy lifting to be done?

This is a time for progressive thinking not same ol’, same ol’.
