LETTER: N.L. premier right to challenge Trump’s actions over masks

- Reuters

I’m writing to apologize to my Newfoundland cousins for the idiocy of U.S. President Donald Trump, who is preventing 3M from shipping N-95 masks to Canada.

Premier Dwight Ball is correct in calling out his foolish and short-sighted behaviour.

I remember how welcoming Newfoundlanders were to us after the 9/11 bombings.

(Also, my father was born in Ireland’s Eye, Trinity Bay)

For Trump to deny masks to our wonderful ally, Canada, is yet one more example of his craziness.

Please know that many Americans are working hard to unseat him in November. Please stay well.
