STORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOS
This province’s population barely justifies having one PET scanner, let alone two. That money would be much better spent on providing primary health care to the 90,000 persons in the province who don’t have a family doctor; more effective, more efficient, more persons served, more “bang for the buck.”
The PET scanner was a commitment made in 2014 when we had (slightly) more money than we have now. Things change and hard decisions must be made to better manage both our debt and our finances. Government needs to say no to that PET scanner, to spend our money better and more wisely.
