On June 21, 2019, I woke up with a very bad pain in my foot.
I figured the best place to be was at the health Sciences Emergency.
I was in the waiting room from 1-8 a.m.
My name was called by a doctor in blue jeans. He said “You have a heel spur, there’s nothing I can do.”
“Send me over the X-rays,” I said.
“We don’t send anyone for X-rays unless something is broken.”
That’s the words he used.
Justice Margaret Cameron won’t be shocked by this story.
She headed the inquiry on the goings-on at the Health Sciences in 2007.
Before going to emergency, bring a good sleeping bag, pillow, food and water.
You’re in for a long, long wait.
