Everyone knows Santa's elves are kept quite busty most of the year getting things ready for Christmas. What's not known quite so well is how those elves relax once the big day comes and goes. Surely, they must take a litle bit of downtime right after Christmas. We asked some students at Sacred Heart Elementtary School in Corner Brook for their thoughts.
Question: What do Santa's elves do after Christmas?
Zachary George
- Grade 3
They go back home, on the North Pole, and wait until next year when it’s close to Christmas. They might have some hot chocolate, eat some of Santa’s cookies with him.
Emma Hicks

I think they make toys for when next Christmas comes.
Nathan Renouf

I’m pretty sure they go to Florida and relax on the beach.

I think they help Santa make toys for next year. The only time they go on vacation is when they fly from the North Pole to see the kids to watch them to make sure they’re being behaved.

They go on vacation to Hawaii and sit in the sun.

They make toys for next year. They only go to children’s houses to watch them to see if they’re being naughty or nice.
