I have just read where the government of Nova Scotia will contribute $70 million to a new $130-million art gallery in Halifax. This facility will be used primarily by the people of Halifax and any spinoff will be to the advantage of our provincial capital.

The point is this money belongs to all Nova Scotians and they will receive little benefit for it. But the biggest problem I see with this is the timing. We are in the middle of a pandemic and although I give the government full marks along with the health community in how they have handled this pandemic that money is needed here.

We have many individuals and small businesses in severe financial situations and all available monetary resources of this government should be directed in that direction.

There has been very little financial help for seniors, small business and many others who need support. I believe this should be the financial focus of the government.
