Alex Dolomount wins Tely Tour event at Glendenning in a breeze

Juvenile Alex Dolomount of Clovelly battled through windy conditions to registers an eight-over par 79 for the low round of the day Monday as the Tely Junior Golf Tour moved to the metro St. John’s area with the Glendenning Golf Junior Tour Championship.

Dylan Yee had the top junior score with an 85, three strokes better than Clovelly clubmate Matt Mills. Nash Denic of Bally Haly was third with a 91.

Ethan Efford and Nathan Nanayakkara of Bally Haly had 90s as juvenile runners-up.

Jack Boone of Grand Falls Golf Club carded a 48 over nine holes to win the bantam boys title ahead

Kayra Ozdemir of Glenndenning Golf was the only female competitor with an 82 on a half course.

The Tour moves top The Wilds Golf Resort in Salmonier today.
