Paradise native Heather Healey and her Canadian teammates have a big game on their schedule today at the COPABE women’s baseball World Cup qualifier in Aguaslalintes, Mexico.

Canada and the United State both take 3-0 records into the matchup in a tourney which also doubles as the first-ever Pan-American women’s baseball championship.

The 22-year-old Healey, who is in her third year with the Canadian senior team, pitched in relief Tuesday in Canada's latest win, a 7-5 come-from behind victory over Cuba.

The Canadians and Americans met in exhibition play last week, with the U.S. coming away with a 12-11 victory.
