That was the story in St. John’s Molson intermediate baseball Wednesday night at St. Pat’s Ball Park.

In one contest, Holy Cross starter Bradley Riggs struck out 11 batters over six innings of work, but didn’t get the victory as the Crusaders edged the Storm 6-5

The other matchup, between the Knights and Gonzaga Vikings, was suspended by curfew at the end of the seventh inning with the teams tied 5-5. It will be concluded the next time the teams have a regularly-scheduled game.

The winning decision instead went to reliever David Edwards, who worked the seventh inning.

In the Holy Cross win, Nick Evans had two hits. Storm starter Daniel Toope took the loss.
