The 2018 St. John’s Molson Senior Baseball League season is down to a one-game showdown.
RMM Gonzaga Vikings forced a Game 7 in the best-of-seven final with a 6-2 win over Shamrocks Thursday night at St. Pat’s Ball Park.
The deciding game is 7 o’clock Friday night, weather permitting, at St. Pat’s.
Thursday, David Lahey (7IP, 6H, 2R, 2ER, 3BB, 1K, 1HB) pitched a masterful game for the win. Shamrocks ace Scott Goosney (6.1IP, 11H, 6R, 6ER, 2BB, 4K) was tagged with the loss. Zack Fitzpatrick (0.2IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 0K) finished up.
Veteran Mike O’Neil led the Vikings with a three-for-four night at the plate.
