The Vikings got a three-for-three game, with a pair of RBIs, from Peter Madden to beat Fifth Ticket Feildians 3-2. Dan Connors (6IP, 3H, 2R, 1 ER, 1BB, 6K) started and recorded the win. Mike O'Neil (1IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, 0K) registered the save.
Mike Delaney (4IP, 4H, 3ER, 2BB, 1K) started for Feildians, and was tagged with the loss. Heather Healey (2IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 0K) pitched in relief.
Mattie Murphy spun a six-hitter and fanned nine in going the distance to lead the Shammies past the Knights 6-2.
A.J. Whiffen (2IP, 5H, 6 ER, 3BB, 3K) started for the Knights. Colin Hunt (2IP, 1H, 0ER, 2BB, 1K) and Tyler Howell (2IP, 1H, 0ER, 0BB, 0K) also pitched.
Charlie Kelly had a single and triple with two RBIs for Shamrocks. Frank Brien had two hits in a losing cause.
In another game Tuesday, Holy Cross beat the Blazers 2-0 at Smallwood Drive Ball Park.
