The Roebothan McKay Marshall Gonzaga Vikings of St. John's are winners of the Ken Dawe Cup as the 2017 provincial baseball senior club champions.

Monday at Jubilee Field in Corner Brook, Vikings starter Ryan Morgan held the Wing’n It Marlins of Corner Brook to just three hits over six innings as the Vikings romped 15-0 in the tournament final.

Bernie Madden led way for Gonzaga at the plate, going 3-for-5 with six RBIs. His production included a two-run homer that was part of a 10-run top of the seventh inning for the Vikings.

In semifinal play, Gonzaga knocked off the Feildians of the St. John's senior league 10-4 and the Marlins outlasted the Veitch’s Ultramar Hawks of Corner Brook 9-7.
