Like their senior counterparts, intermediate Shammies take St. John’s crown

OMT Shamrocks pasted Holy Cross 14-2 to win the St. John’s Molson Intermediate Baseball League championship at St. Pat’s Ball Park over the weekend.

It's the second title for the Green and Gold this season. The Shammies also won the St. John's senior title earlier this month.

Josh Fifield (4IP, 3H, 2R, 0ER, 2BB, 1K) pitched the win with relief from Matt Murphy (3IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 3K).

Danny Rice (3IP, 6H, 7R, 6ER, 7BB, 0K) was tagged with the loss. Kevin Cashin, Peter Walker and Vinny Grace also saw mound duty.

Dylan MacKenzie had three hits for the winners.
