Three complete games were pitched in St. John’s Molson senior baseball Wednesday night at St. Pat’s Ball Park.
Sean Janes (7.0IP, 10H, 3R, 3ER, 1BB, 6K) outdueled Tyler Holwell (6.0IP, 11H, 10R, 8ER, 4BB, 5K, 1HBP) as Holy Cross trimmed the Knights 10-3.
It was deuces all around for Steve Crouse, who had two singles, two runs scored and two stolen bases. John Cribb and Dave Parsons also had two hits apiece for the Crusaders.
Steve Brien had three hits for the Knights, and Bob Parsons had two.
In another game, Matt Colbourne (7.0IP, 7H, 4R, 4ER, 6BB, 5K, 3HBP) went the distance as Storm shaded the Gonzaga Vikings 5-4.
David Lahey (5.0IP, 11H, 5R, 2ER, 1BB, 2K) started and was tagged with the loss. Ben Kennedy and Bernie Morgan also saw mound duty for the Vikings.
Grant Kenny collected three hits for the Storm. Peter Madden and Bernie Madden both had two hits for Gonzaga.
INTERMEDIATE
In intermediate play Thursday night at Mount Pearl’s Smallwood Drive Ball Park, BodyQuest Generals beat the Knights 7-2. Chase Tucker got the win over Steve Crooks.
Dawson O’Toole-Didham and Sebastien Ojeda both had two hits for the winners.
