A torn tendon in his non-shooting hand didn’t seem to impact Kyle Lowry’s play much during Toronto’s run to the NBA title, but the injury has now been fixed regardless.

Lowry hopes to be able to attend USA Basketball’s training camp next month after undergoing surgery to repair the injury in New York City.

Lowry was hurt during the team’s epic Game 7 against Philadelphia on May 12, but played well against both Milwaukee and Golden State.

The Raptors also officially announced Friday the earlier signing of Matt Thomas, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard who was one of the premier outside shooters in Europe while playing for EuroCup champion Valencia Basket in Spain.

Thomas played four seasons for Iowa State in the NCAA and has been on Toronto’s radar for some time.

A day earlier the team had officially announced the signing of combo forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, a former starter in Brooklyn.
