The Cain’s Quest organization says they have responded to an accident that occurred mid Saturday afternoon on the way to check point three, Border beacon.

They say an alert button was activated by team 17, using their tracker device.

The organization says the emergency plan was quickly put in place.

Earlier it was reported, the racer was in stable condition and was with his team mate.

A helicopter was dispatched to bring the injured man to hospital for treatment.

The Cain’s Quest organization says they have been in direct contact with the man’s family.

There has been no information as to the type of injury or which team member was injured. The Aurora will have more details as they become available.
